Target Audience:

  1. Pathologists with little or no experience of image analysis
  2. Laboratory technicians and biotechnologists with little or no experience of image analysis
  3. Computer scientists with little or no experience of pathology imaging
  4. PhD students

Objectives:

  1. To learn the features of ImageJ as an image analysis program
  2. To learn basic segmentation and feature extraction
  3. To learn about immunohistochemical evaluation of tissue sections
  4. To learn about stereology and quantification in tumours
  5. To learn about current status of industrial systems for image analysis in pathology

By the end of the session the attendees should:

  1. Be able to use ImageJ to view images
  2. Be able to perform basic image analysis
  3. Know about technological offer in the image analysis sector
